A Maternity Session at Rickett's Glen
I had a vision of a breathtaking photo worthy outdoor location in Pennsylvania with the autumn colors at their peak - the leaves holding on to their last cloak of color before the browns, greys, and whites of winter. In the spotlight I pictured a flowing red lacy dress on a beautiful pregnant belly. I just had to track down all these parts to make this maternity session work!
I found the perfect location in Rickett’s Glen State Park, in Benton Pennsylvania, and put out a model call to the largest local town’s Facebook group (Bloomsburg). It had a great reception, and I had to narrow down my choices based on availability and personal style. Jacquelyn was the perfect match, and the perfect expecting mama! The dress was ordered, the date set….all we could do was wait and hope for good weather!
We got lucky, and the weather held out - just a few sprinkles of rain towards the end. My very pregnant model was such a trooper, and trekked all the way to the bottom of Adam’s Falls to humor me and my vision! We had rocks, moss, water and waterfalls, fall colors, texture, the natural beauty of the falls, of this gorgeous expecting mama, that beautiful lacy maternity dress, and a crowd of supportive fellow outdoor enthusiasts who were more than accommodating allowing me to take up prime photography real estate to get the images I was picturing!
All in all, I’d say this maternity session was a raging success - I LOVE all the images from this session, and I can’t wait to see that little babe once they come earth side!
